Shortie, what do I do with you now?

Seeing You
I just realized that my Torquere Press sip, First, A Dance, which I wrote for the charity sip blitz is no longer available for sale.

I'm trying to decide what to do with it, if anything, and wondered what my dear f'list thought. If you have an e-pubbed short story that's no longer available, what do you do with it?

Because I could do nothing with it, stick it in a file some place and forget about it. Or I could make it available on my website as a free story, or I could put it in my to-do list for stories to work on and rewrite and expand it when I get the chance.

And if I do put it on my website...what do you think about reading on the website vs. a downloadable pdf? I have two other shorts on my website that I just stuck in directly, but they're only 2k. First, A Dance is 7k-ish.

What do you think?

It's time for my close-up, peoples!

Seeing You
The very prolific reviewer and interviewer [info]jessewave  kindly offered to feature me (yes, me! How insane is that?) on her blog as her author in the spotlight this week. I think it's awesome that Wave is willing to take the time to interview such a newbie author--and hopefully you will too.

You can check it out here to see how I bumble my way through my first interview. (This is where I refrain from begging you all to show up and make me feel like at least someone read it. Marvel at my self-control dahlings.)

Wave has also reviewed my Wedding Sip First, A Dance, offering it a very generous 4.5 stars out of 5. You can check out the review here.

And if you have't already read First, A Dance, you can buy it here or the whole Wedding Sip package here. The proceeds go to charity in support of gay marriage--a great cause!

And she's back...

Seeing You
Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm here and I'm okay and I'll be back to spamming you with all my writing related stuff before you can say, "not again."

In fact, I realize I never acknowledged what a lovely and generous review [info]louisaclark  did of my Wedding Sip First, A Dance. I was very touched to read what she wrote, and if you'd like to read the review, you can do that here.

And hey, it's been a looooong while since I did a thematic thursday post. Any requests if I dust it off and give it a go?

We're dancing, dahling!

Seeing You

Torquere Press' Wedding Sip Blitz is out! This includes my own story First, A Dance. The proceeds from these Wedding Sips will go to the Lambda Legal Defense fund, and I was more than happy to contribute for such a great cause. Here's the official burb for the blitz:

Twenty of Torquere's great authors have written wedding themed stories to show their support in the fight for equal recognition of gay and lesbian marriage! Sexy and sweet, funny and dramatic, these Sips will satisfy everyone's urge for something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue! The best part about the Sip Blitz is that all of the authors have agreed to donate the profits from their wedding Sips to charity, with Torquere Press matching their donation 100%! All profits collected from the sale of the wedding Sips will be donated the Lambda Legal Defense Fund. Sips cost just $1.29, and you can't beat that for entertainment and a good cause! Buy them all, and get the entire twenty Sip package for 15% off! Who doesn't love a happy ending?

Sounds really awesome, right? Right!

Here's the blurb for my Sip First, A Dance:

Tyler lost Rory three years ago, taking a promotion, and a move, that Rory just couldn't accept. Miserable without the one man he truly loves, Tyler finally returns to his hometown to try and win Rory back, only to find he's too late. Rory is about to get married. Heartbroken, Tyler decides to try to stop the wedding, but even if he can, will Rory be willing to give him another chance?

You can buy it here for just $1.29 or you can buy the whole Wedding Sip Blitz package here and save 15% off.
