Not much to report here, keeping my head down--mostly--and studying hard (ZOMG sooo hard, *breathes*) for finals next week, though you can find me on twitter most days. It's quick, easy, and fun interaction. :)
Oh, and thank you to Elisa and Mara for my v-gifts! Much appreciated!
Anywho, I haven't posted anything about this So You Think You Can Dance season (I love this show), so I thought I'd share my favorite routine of the season so far. Surprisingly enough, it's a...Cha-Cha. Can't remember last time my favorite wasn't a contemporary piece, but this was fun and sexy and just cool. Enjoy!
(If you want to skip the intro stuff, the dance starts at 1:22)
Woo! So enjoyable. Now I want to go see Burn the Floor in the city over break!

I wanted to share a video from So You Think You Can Dance from the other night. It's the first pas de deux of the season and it's perform by, unquestionably, the best dancers of the season, Kaytee and Will. Kaytee is elegant and has beautiful lines, but honestly, I couldn't take my eyes off Will when I watched it (which has nothing to do with his lack of a shirt. Okay, very little.) He has such power behind his movement, and the elevation on his jumps is outta control, and he holds his center like it's nobody's bidness.
Watching this makes me want to finish nitpicking my little monster ballet WIP, which I've actually now titled "Maybe Tonight." I know, I kind of broke a big NO-NO rule in titling by using a line from the song, but at least I didn't use the actual title, "Something's Coming." Cuz ya know, someone does in the story, but we don't need to point that out, now do we? *winks*
My sister, J, she still doesn't get why I want to do the series of dancer stories. I explained and she still went, "But then won't they all be about dance?" Um, DUH! That's the point.
But then again this was the girl who when helping me brainstorm for a new character name for my mystery after I accidentally named him after a semi-famous sleuthing priest, she suggested Titface McFly.
Yes, she takes my writing very seriously indeed.
Anyway, enjoy the vid.

I was wondering if anyone else thinks dancers are as sexy as I do? I don't think I've read a m/m romance with one or both of the main characters being a dancer. Lots of cowboys, lots of uniforms, (not that I'm complaining, whoo-boy, no I'm surely not) lots of artists-painters, photographers, musicians, songwriters....where are all the dancers? Maybe it's just me, but there's something about a man whose body is honed to perform their art, every muscle toned to make that art more beautiful, the flow of movement appearing effortless but powerful. Mmm...Anyhoo, I'm working on a collection of a couple shorts revolving around dancing and I thought I would share some of the eye candy that inspired me with ya'll.
