I'm semi-lazy (and googling yields so little for so much time spent)...Anybody have any good links or jumping off spots you can share if you're doing some research for a present day military story? Also, more specifically, anyone know good places to read about things like conscientious objector stats, as in how likely is a CO application to be granted and whether a CO discharge is automatic if granted or if there are other options like noncombatant positions. Hmmm, maybe history of COs in US too. Also, US stop-loss policy stats for Iraq, though I've found some. Problem is, issue is so political sometimes I doubt the reliability of info found on sites with an apparent agenda. I'm kinda thinking out loud, but any links and such would be helpful. :)
